Happy Saturday! Today I’m back with a page-turning historical thriller that I couldn’t put down, a new Amazon Prime show that both my husband and I enjoyed, my thoughts on TTPD, and an acne-product that really really works.
We are headed to a fabulous black-tie wedding this weekend, and then later in the week celebrating our three-year wedding anniversary! I can’t believe how quickly three years have flown by, but it also feels incredible to look back at all the memories and adventures we’ve had throughout that time. Check out my thoughts on traditional wedding gifts.
What I’m Reading:
There are few things that I love more than a good book. And The Villa by Rachel Hawkins completely and utterly hooked me from about the third chapter and on. Set in a fabulous Italian villa, it flips time periods between the murder that happened in the 1970s and the two writers investigating it in modern day.
What I’m Watching:
Don’t you just love it when you find a show that you and your partner can enjoy together? For us, it’s been Fallout, a new Amazon Original based on the video game. Set in the apocalypse world of Los Angeles, it follows a citizen of the luxury fallout shelters venturing out into the world above for the first time.
What I’m Listening To:
Maybe you’ve been living under a rock, but Taylor Swift’s new album dropped and it’s causing quite the conversation. Upon first listen, I felt somewhat meh about it. But leave it to Taylor to reel me in, because after giving it a second and third play, I’m completely hooked. My favorite songs are Down Bad, I Can Do It With a Broken Heart, and thanK you aIMee. It’s personal and quirky and poetic - I love it. Once a Swiftie, always a Swiftie!
What I’m Cooking:
Half-Baked Harvest does it again with this deconstructed Italian sub pasta salad. I’ve already made it twice and it’s hard not to eat it all in one sitting! I brought it to work for our Spring Salad Potluck and got many compliments, too. I think I’ll be adding it to our regular meal rotation…
What I’m Using:
I once read that your skin biome fully changes every seven years. Well, if that is actually true, then I must be in the midst of one of those changes because my skin has been a MESS. Colorado also has an extremely dry climate so perhaps that’s also a contributing factor? Either way, I’ve been trying so many different products to try and combat the adult acne that’s been creeping up, and I recently discovered this De La Cruz Acne Treatment. And it WORKS!!! The only downside… is that it smells heavily of sulphur….
