Homemade Holiday Baileys Irish Cream
Ever wonder how to make your own Irish Baileys Cream for the holidays? Read on for the recipe!
One of my favorite things about being around my Mom is that she is constantly inspiring me. I look to her as the OG DIY Darling - she’s taught me everything I know. For example, it never even crossed my mind that one could make Baileys until my mom whipped out a gorgeous bottle from the fridge and poured me a glass! I knew I had to attempt… because is there anything better than a little Baileys in your coffee on Christmas morning while you open presents??
One quick note - the recipe calls for gingerbread spice. We found this difficult to find in stores, so we just looked up a recipe to make it. Ironically, the following day while shopping at our local favorite, Ginger and Baker, we found a large jar of it! So either plan on ordering it ahead of time or make it yourself.
What’s In It:
Nutella (1 Tbsp)
Spiced rum (2/3 cup)
Heavy cream (1 cup)
Powdered sugar (1/2 cup)
Gingerbread spice (1 1/2 tsp)
How To Make It:
Blend the Nutella and rum until Nutella fully dissolves.
Stir in the heavy cream.
Add powdered sugar and gingerbread spice, blending to combine all ingredients until smooth.
Tip the mixture into a glass bottle and refrigerate overnight to allow the flavors to blend.
When you’re ready to drink, shake well, pour and enjoy!
